The information system TISK® was developed by Transiidikeskuse AS Group for operator enterprises (stevedore companies and specialised terminals) with the aim of improving the efficiency of their activities.
TISK® constitutes a customer-server system based on MS SQL Server under the management of MS Windows Server. It has modular structure, which is open-ended, expandable and calibrated to suit the specific activities of a stevedore company.
The automated management system TISK® was rooted in the stevedore company AS Refetra (Muuga Port, Estonia), OÜ Varumees (Muuga Port, Estonia), terminal of BST OÜ (Muuga Port, Estonia) and RO-RO terminal of AS HTG Invest (Port of Tallinn, Estonia).
TISK® contains:
- System of users' access rights to functions and information
- System of managing conditionally constant data, e.g. register of customer enterprises, contractual conditions and tariffs, classifier of cargoes, topology of warehouses, characteristics of transhipment equipment, reference books of work types, vessels, connection ports, shipping lines, etc., the total of 34 types of different reference books and classifiers.
- System of managing the data of cargo and customs documents, provisional requests, tally sheets, as well as other documents regarding the change in the condition of cargoes or the fulfilment of operations
- WEB-application for the interaction of stevedore company with forwarders, owners of transport, consignees and consigners, as well as providing the customers with information services via the global network of Internet
- System of corporate reporting and document control based on Crystal Reports generator
- System of data archiving
- Import/export of data in TISK® from/into the accounting system «1S:Enterprise 7.7.»
Basic software of TISK® includes the following functions:
- Numeric and quantitative accounting of the movement of packaged, bulk and timber cargo, as well as cargo in containers, containers proper, trailers and other means of aggregation, including operations pertaining to their formation and dissolution.
- Processes of shipping and storage of cargos. Warehouse accounting (modes of free custom zone, customs terminal and customs warehouse), intra-warehouse operations and accounting of cargo movement along storage bins. Accounting of defects and damaging of cargo and means of aggregation. Control of fulfilment of assignments and authorisations.
- Operations of customs formalities, and calculation of cost of rendered services.
- Preparation of cargo documentation, warehouse documents, reports, including calculations pertaining to the term and cost of cargo storage.
- Accounting of cargo handling and processing of vehicles (railway carriages, motor vehicles and vessels in stowage spaces – fulfilment of cargo plans).
- Accounting of use of transhipment equipment.
- Shift-day planning, positioning of technical and human resources, formation and issuing of assignments.
- Formation of technological schemes of transhipment works and technical rate fixing.
- Accounting of work time of dockers-mechanics, calculation of piece-rate wages and time wages, calculation of cost of services of involved labour force.
- Calculation of transhipment costs, determining tariffs and prices based on customers' requests.
- Administrative accounting and control of expenses in comparison with computational data of revenues in cargo handling.
